A Do-Over

The LORD detests the thoughts of the wicked, but those of the pure are pleasing to him. Proverbs 15:26

What are you thinking about right now? Are you thinking about how to please God throughout your day? Are you thinking about making Him happy by what you do and say? Are you meditating on His goodness and mercy? Do you want what God wants for your day?

If you’re like me, you get depressed by what you just read, right? Though that is probably how we’d like to think we think each day, we fall short miserably.

  • We get angry in traffic.
  • We yell at the kids.
  • We obsess over meaningless details for what seems like hours.
  • We fret over bills. And the list goes on and on.

We fall short.

But that’s a great time to get back on track again. So what if you fall short? Get back up, dust yourself off and do it all over again. In the business world, they say “level-set your expectations” which is a fancy phrase for a “do-over”. We get to go back to where we got off the path.

It’s all about seeking the God of the Second Chance.
