A Powerful Prayer

11 Now may our God and Father himself and our Lord Jesus clear the way for us to come to you. 12 May the Lord make your love increase and overflow for each other and for everyone else, just as ours does for you. 13 May he strengthen your hearts so that you will be blameless and holy in the presence of our God and Father when our Lord Jesus comes with all his holy ones. 1 Thessalonians 3:11-13

One of the great things about Paul’s prayers is we can easily adapt them to our own situations. If you’re like me, you sometimes don’t know how to pray for people. These prayers are powerful because they’re scripture. God can only bless these words.

Commit them to memory if you have to. Pray them over your own life. Even as you think through the words, you’ll realize that perhaps you’re not as loving as you could be to others, as an example. Sure, you love people but overflowing with love? What’s that?! It’s the very reason we should be learning these kinds of verses to keep in our arsenal.
