But for Adam no suitable helper was found. 21 So the Lord God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man’s ribs and then closed up the place with flesh. 22 Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man. Genesis 2:21-22
Man needed a wife, so God made a woman from Adam’s rib. She was fully grown and she was perfect for Adam. In the vernacular, we could say that she completed Adam.
Imagine being either of them at the time. What do you say? What do you do? How do you communicate? How do you explain to the woman where she came from? Did Adam even know what happened? Both were still sinless and pure, living in a pristine world. That world would soon crash for them, but for now it was good to be alive.
We really don’t know much about Adam and Even at this point except that God created them and they didn’t need to grow up to become adults. There was no learning curve for them as kids or teens. They “arrived” as fully grown adults.
Still they needed to depend on God for everything since they may not have known anything. God knew how to communicate with them.
Similarly, He wants us to communicate with Him as much as we can. He’s there for us when we call on him.
