Be Careful How You Rule

6 “I said, ‘You are “gods”; you are all sons of the Most High.’
7 But you will die like mere mortals; you will fall like every other ruler.” Psalm 82:6-7

This week we’ve been discussing the role that judges and lawyers play in our society. They are not the ‘gods’ they claim to be as they will be held account for their decisions. It’s as if the Supreme Judge is standing over their shoulder and watching closely how they act. After all, most of society looks up to them to be fair and impartial.

I suspect, though, that many of them go home and lie awake at some of the decisions they’ve made for that day, especially the ones they knew were “dirty” or corrupted by outside influences. I’m certainly not saying that all judges and lawyers are corrupt. It just seems that way sometimes.

Continue to pray for these men and women for wisdom from above.

Pray also that the Spirit of God will bring people into their lives that embody a Godly life.
