Done Yet?

8 Let me hear joy and gladness;
    let the bones you have crushed rejoice. Psalm 51:8

In David’s cry to God, I can hear him saying, “are you done yet, Lord? Do you think you can salvage the remains of these old worn-out bones?”

My friends, God is certainly not finished with us. In fact, He seems to be in the habit of transforming really rotten things into really unbelievable things. Most of us can attest to that. Sometimes, though, as I mentioned yesterday, we need a tune-up of sorts.

In fact, it’s really not a bad idea to get a daily tune-up.

What does that look like? Confession, Praise, Praise, Praise, and probably just a tad more praise. The supplication – the asking – will be a lesser priority once we start praising in earnest.

Is He done yet? No, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing.
