16 Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you. 2 Thessalonians 3:16
This is a simple but fantastic prayer for peace, isn’t it? He wasn’t referring to the “absence of war” in any political or military sense. Paul was talking about the internal peace that can only come from a right relationship with the Creator of the Universe, God Almighty Himself. It’s a prayer we can appreciate because we can get all worked up inside about issues and events.
We just need to be pulled down from the ledge, so to speak. The Holy Spirit will give us peace. We need to ask for it, often.
