God’s Richest Grace

9 For I am the least of the apostles and do not even deserve to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. 10 But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them—yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me. 11 Whether, then, it is I or they, this is what we preach, and this is what you believed. 1 Corinthians 15:9-11

Here we get a glimpse at Paul’s work ethic. He knew he was coming into that role with strikes against him. But he also recognized that the Grace of God was with him every step of the way.

We are the same.

The grace of God is with us through the good and bad whether we realize it or not. Grace, God’s unmerited favor, is what keeps us going. I don’t quite understand it, but I accept it, that is, when I remember to.

Why, O Why does He bless us and pour out His favor upon us? It’s in His nature to do so. He can’t not do it!

When you can no longer think about what to pray for, pray that you’ll be able to bask in God’s grace.
