Grace!
A good man obtains favor from the LORD, but the LORD condemns a crafty man. Proverbs 12:2
Does it give you joy that the LORD is pleased with you and smiles upon you?
The fact that the God of the Universe even knows my name should be cause for celebration, not to mention that we can obtain favor from Him.
Is this favor something we earn? Absolutely not. Is He pleased with everything we do? Certainly not, but it doesn’t mean He isn’t constantly trying to woo us to Himself.
We call it grace, God’s unmerited favor with us. We didn’t earn it, nor could we ever. We definitely didn’t deserve it, and I’m not sure we fully appreciate it all the time.
