More Than Conquerors

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written:

“For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”

No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. Romans 8:35-37

Many reading this do not feel like conquerors. Many are experiencing the same hardships mentioned in the verse. You feel like those sheep being sent to the slaughter. You understand pain and hardship all too well.

Here is a truth behind your hardships: you are not alone. Even if you or someone you know is staring death in the face; you are not alone. I don’t say that lightly because I recognize the types of trouble you face because I face them too. Discouragement is big. Sometimes, you just feel like giving up.

As we talked about in previous verses, the Spirit of God and the Son of God are interceding for us. You are not alone. You always have someone “going to bat” on your behalf. Right now in the depths of your discouragement, the Spirit and Son are interceding for you. You cannot possibly have more caring and compassionate prayer warriors on your side.
