Acquitting the guilty and condemning the innocent – the LORD detests them both. Proverbs 17:15

In contrast to acquitting the guilty is our penchant for condemning the innocent. Often it comes in the form of persecution. I don’t think we in the West quite understand persecution because for the most part, we don’t experience it regularly the way the rest of the world does.

• We don’t understand how Christians can be beaten for what they believe.
• We don’t understand how Muslims could possibly hate such peaceful, loving people.
• We don’t understand that the Western media is not reporting these atrocities because they have their own agenda.
• We don’t understand how Christians can possibly endure such persecution month after month, year after year.
