Remind the people to be subject to rulers and authorities, Titus 3:1a
No matter who is in power in the government, people will not be happy. On any given national elections at least 45% of those voting will have voted for the losing candidate. Yet the government still continues to run inefficiently and filled with obscure and inane laws. The Bible still instructs us to obey those in power. If you don’t like the law, work to change it. If you don’t care for a particular law, there’s not much you can do about it. With so many laws on the books, how can we possibly obey them all? We can’t. We can do what we can do.
The point being, laws are in place for a reason. Otherwise there would be total anarchy.
Pray for your elected officials today. Choose a senator, representative or even the president and vice president. They need the prayers more than we know. The pressures on them are immense if they’re doing the jobs right. Pray that God will move in their hearts to make good decisions.
