correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction. 2 Timothy 4:2
Despite his youthfulness, Timothy had a huge weight on his shoulders. For instance, it’s not easy to rebuke those older than us. But if you’re going to be a leader, you must be able to take those actions. I’m sure it all came at a cost. The pressures your pastor and his family are under are great and many. They’re tasked with overseeing the congregation. They hear the complaints, frustrations, whines, and anger in addition to a few good compliments and bits of encouragement.
Pray for your pastor and his family. The strains they are under regularly would blow us away if we knew about them.
