2 who have been chosen according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through the sanctifying work of the Spirit, to be obedient to Jesus Christ and sprinkled with his blood:
Grace and peace be yours in abundance. 1 Peter 1:2
Paul finished the greeting with a mini teaching on the work of the Trinity in the life of the Believer (in this case those who were exiled). As we journey in this Christian life, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are actively at work in our lives whether we realize it or not. it’s a humbling thought to know that the Triune God has any interest in me at all, let alone all my day’s activities. But, it’s not just me; it’s you as well.
What does that mean to you? Is it humbling? Is it terrifying? Perhaps it’s puzzling. Read through verses 1 and 2 again and consider its impact on your life right now. The Triune God is on your side, watching out for you, looking over you, and seeking to draw you closer.
Are you resisting?
