This is the verse that rocked the world, the moment after Adam and Eve sinned for the first time. Their eyes were opened. They felt shame.
- They knew they were lied to and deceived.
- They knew they had sinned even though they didn’t know what to call it.
- They knew that they blew it, though not what it meant for the history of mankind from that point forward.
- They knew that God knew, and they didn’t want Him to see them like that.
Yes, they knew.
The finger pointing will begin, of course, but this sin was all on them. Just like the sins we commit are all on us. And we should know better because we have access to the whole truth.
