They’re His Children

God has spoken from his sanctuary:
    “In triumph I will parcel out Shechem
    and measure off the Valley of Sukkoth.
7 Gilead is mine, and Manasseh is mine;
    Ephraim is my helmet,
    Judah is my scepter.
8 Moab is my washbasin,
    on Edom I toss my sandal;
    over Philistia I shout in triumph.” Psalm 60:6-8

The Lord’s people are His. King David lists significant sections of Israel and its tribes. These verses are a continuation of the previous verse; the Lord has in fact delivered them! There should be shouting in the streets because of it.

Every month we hear Israel mentioned in the news. That tiny nation “offends” more people than most nations combined. It is a hated country and people.

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Pray that there will continue to be a major harvest of souls throughout the land. Pray for those bold enough to go in and preach Jesus to the Jews and Muslims. Pray that the Prince of Peace will once again reign in the hearts of men, women, and children there.
