29 Then God said, “I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food. 30 And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds in the sky and all the creatures that move along the ground—everything that has the breath of life in it—I give every green plant for food.” And it was so.
31 God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning—the sixth day. Genesis 1:29-31
Everything that we see here on earth and in the skies was created in six days. We had a big hand in messing things up but that will come later.
For now, though, the world up to this point was pristine. Perfect. No flaws. No sin. No evil. What was that like? I don’t think we quite understand what a sinless world is like because we’re accustomed to the flawed version.
One day that will all be restored. God will right all the wrongs that were committed throughout history. My mind can’t even comprehend a little of what that means. Those who are smug because they “didn’t get caught” will be brought to true justice.
But it will also be the day when we see our Savior. All the striving, grief, pain, sorrow, and disappointment in this life will melt away compared to that day, and every day thereafter.
Meditate on that truth today.
