Yesterday’s Blessings

The righteous eat to their hearts’ content, but the stomach of the wicked goes hungry. Proverbs 13:25

A quick reading of this verse would indicate that only the righteous get fed and the wicked go hungry. You and I know that “the rain falls on the just and unjust” Matthew 5:45.

The point of that is this: many many people in this world are hungry but they don’t know what they’re hungry for. They know that they are searching, but for what they may not be able to articulate?

Sadly, though, many Believers are also empty and unfulfilled, having relied on yesterday’s blessings to solve today’s problems.

From now until Christmas, I’ll be talking about those blessings, but for now, take a moment to reflect on your current spiritial appetite.

Are you hungering and thirsting after God?
