A friend of a ministry I used to work for used to say that his business did better when he was spending his time in Haiti ministering to others than when he was actually in the office managing the business. There is a general principle here of letting go of your finances and watching God bless you. Some have no problem of letting go of their finances; others are tighter and less comfortable when it comes to giving money.

Yesterday I wrote about the goal giving twice the amount in 2010 than you’ve ever given. I only write that because some need to be stretched in that faith area. Perhaps you need to be stretched in giving away your time. We all need to be stretched from time to time. What’s your area?
