Power

18 Some of you have become arrogant, as if I were not coming to you. 19 But I will come to you very soon, if the Lord is willing, and then I will find out not only how these arrogant people are talking, but what power they have. 20 For the kingdom of God is not a matter of talk but of power. 21 What do you prefer? Shall I come to you with a rod of discipline, or shall I come in love and with a gentle spirit? 1 Corinthians 4:18-21

I’ve read this passage of Scripture many times but something just clicked: “For the kingdom of God is not a matter of talk but of power.” Because God’s spirit lives in us, the power of God is in us. The power of God should therefore be evident in the life of every Believer.

Ouch!

The power of God should affect everything about us: our speech, our actions, and even our thoughts. When the power of God is displayed in our lives, wonderful things happen.

So the question remains, are you experiencing the power of God in your life right now? If not, why not?
