You crushed Rahab like one of the slain; with your strong arm you scattered your enemies. Psalm 89:10
Rahab, a reference to Egypt (Psalm 87:3), was given many opportunities to cease their relentless attacks on the children of Israel. Finally many of the army that chased the Israelites ended up drowning in the Red Sea. The Egyptians were surprised that the walled up water was about to crush them to death. The Israelites were definitely surprised that they were able to escape once again. But the Lord Himself knew the ending to that chapter in the Israelites’ lives.
The last half of this verse suggests that Israel’s enemies were nothing more than an annoying bug that just needed to go away with a flick of the wrist. It is just that easy in God’s world.
This is not to say that your problems will all go away with a mere mention of the problem to God, but such an ending has certainly happened before. He alone knows your needs.
