Like a roaring lion or a charging bear is a wicked ruler over a helpless people. Proverbs 28:15

Helpless peopele in a society believe that even if they did call the authorities over what has happened to them, nobody would listen, or even worse, they would be punished for point out the failures of the offending party. In other words they have no recourse, especially when the highest law officer in the land is corrupt.

Several countries come to mind when I think of helpless people. Syria, Iran, South Sudan, and North Korea. Unfortunately, I’m certain there are dozens of other examples. As of this writing, all four have been in the news over the past few months.

The Believers in these nations, while we don’t know their names and probably never will, need us to pray for them. Choose one of those four nations, enter the country name into your favorite search engine, and get to know more about the people. There will be more information in the first page than you’ll know what to do with.

Then pray.
