1 Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion, which cannot be shaken but endures forever.
2 As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lord surrounds his people both now and forevermore. Psalm 125:1-2
If you stand on a mountain – any mountain – you realize that it is solid ground. It’s not going anywhere. An earthquake could shake it but it’s not moving. It’s not going to split, cave in, or shatter. That mountain is going to be there for a long long time.
As Believers we understand that solid base. The world could crumble around us, but our faith – and more importantly, our Creator God – is not going anywhere. Now, we may feel some emotional earthquakes and it may feel like it’s all falling apart, but the opposite is true. Tomorrow that salvation will be just as rock solid as it was today.
Therefore, since we are receiving an unshakable kingdom, let us be filled with gratitude, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe. Hebrews 12:28
