First a vote of confidence, then one of doubt. The sustaining force in David’s life was God the Almighty. Throughout all his writings, he never swayed from that truth. Yes, he had doubts. Yes, he suffered greatly because of his sin. But he knew who was ultimately in control.

The nations have changed and so has their leaders. Kingdoms have come and gone. Kingdoms will continue to come and go. And still, He is in control. He is the Rock, the Stronghold of our lives. It’s not a new concept but it needs to be stated often.
