For the Lord will not reject his people; he will never forsake his inheritance. Psalm 94:14

When this was written, Israel was “His people” and “His inheritance.” The nation of Israel enjoys that protective role to some extent today (otherwise the nation of Israel would not exist if its Muslim neighbors had their way).

But the majority of that standing now falls on those who are “heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ” (Romans 8:17), namely Christians.

As such, God is on our side. Whatever it is you’re going through, whatever it is you’re struggling with, whatever it is that God is asking you to do (or not do), God is watching over you.

He has a vested interest in your well-being. You were bought with a price and He will see you through to the end.

He will never leave you; He will never forsake you.
