Access to Him

5 For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus, 6 who gave himself as a ransom for all people. This has now been witnessed to at the proper time. 7 And for this purpose I was appointed a herald and an apostle—I am telling the truth, I am not lying—and a true and faithful teacher of the Gentiles. 1 Timothy 2:5-7

Paul laid out the Gospel in these verses. The beauty about the Gospel message is that it is sprinkled throughout the Old and New Testament in a variety of ways. As the letter was read in the churches, non-believers would hear the truth again and again. They may have even asked questions about what the letter was saying.

More importantly for us, verses 5-6 remind us about the man we place our trust in: the only mediator between God and man. We access the Father through the Son. If we have a problem, we go through the Son to plead with the Father. And of course the Holy Spirit empowers us to do that.

The main takeaway is this: we have access to the Creator of the Universe. As we look to the heavens on a starry night, we realize that there is a God who created it all.

We have access to Him.
