Aggravation

40 How often they rebelled against him in the wilderness and grieved him in the wasteland!
41 Again and again they put God to the test; they vexed the Holy One of Israel. Psalm 78:40-41

With these verses you can almost envision God shaking His head at His children. They had the tendency to “wear His patience thin,” as they say.

But the Lord was completely patient.

Not much has changed over the years. We try His patience, and He gets aggravated at our antics and sin. Maybe He even shakes His head.

But what He doesn’t do is lose His cool with us and burn hot against us.

We should be extremely thankful about that. That would not be a pretty sight.

Consider today ways that you can draw closer to Him in your daily walk. What can you do in the next hour that would please Him greatly?

Go do that.
