Many are the plans in a man’s heart, but it is the LORD’s purpose that prevails. Proverbs 19:21
Reading a verse like this might put an end to your hopes and dreams. I mean, why plan if God’s going to do what he’s going to do, right?
Well, that’s one way to look at it. Another way is to be flexible enough to bend to however God wants you to bend. Sure it’s fine to plan but in the end God is in control of the results.
I recall reading a book where one of the points was made like this: we need to stop planning and ask God to bless those plans. Instead, why don’t we just figure out what God’s plan is and get involved.
I know, easier said than done because we often don’t know what God’s plan is, but perhaps we should continue to ask.
