He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God. John 1:11-13
Gentiles are beneficiaries of God’s rich mercy.
We don’t quite understand how or why God draws people to Himself but He still does.
We don’t understand why He even wants us, but He still does.
He draws many people but few actually believe.
All are given a chance to believe but few do.
Many are given ample opportunity to draw near to Jesus Christ but few do.
It remains a mystery, as it should.
We still can ponder and question and marvel, and we do.
And we should.
