A rod and a reprimand impart wisdom, but a child left undisciplined disgraces its mother. Proverbs 29:15
We’ve all seen and watched the frazzled mother in the store with her two or three rambunctious kids. We might even scoff and shake our heads at the undisciplined kids, and quite possibly at the mother’s lack of parenting skills.
It is at these junctures that we have a choice. Certainly we can pray for that mother. Not sure how the prayers would go but it is an option.
Or we can lend a hand if she needs it. It’s obviously the harder choice because we run the risk of offending her by “meddling” in her affairs. But on the other hand, we might just be the “angel” she’s not expecting.
