6 Moses and Aaron were among his priests, Samuel was among those who called on his name; they called on the Lord and he answered them.
7 He spoke to them from the pillar of cloud; they kept his statutes and the decrees he gave them. Psalm 99:6-7

The Psalmist mentions three men of God by name. All three of them had their struggles in life. For Moses and Aaron it was three million Israelites. For Samuel his disobedient and ungodly sons weighed large on his heart.

But they all called on the Lord.

Too often we look at our problems and glance at the Lord, when the exact opposite should be true.

We really should be gazing at God and glancing at our problems. Sure, it’s much easier said than done. To be honest, though, I’m not sure what that looks like.

The point is, our problems shouldn’t be weighing us down. The solution, however, is very simple.

Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7
