Again these are interesting word pictures of the Lord. It’s as if He was going about His daily routine and remembered that Israel was being slaughtered. “Well, I’d better do something about that.”

Even as the world teeters on economic collapse, averting big trouble in the Middle East, with ISIS and terrorist groups roaming free, and Russia continuing to pummel tiny Ukraine, (not to mention social and moral decay throughout the West), it’s all under control. We are seeing but a snapshot of human history. God has seen it all before. Sure, there are different actors and different technologies that speed things up, but He’s seen it all.

When the time comes for Him to “wake as from a sleep” He will. So until then we pray, do what we can with the gifts and talents He’s given us, and leave the worldwide headaches to Him.
