How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!” Romans 10:14-15

These verses are traditionally used to commission and send off missionaries to the mission field. If you know someone who is literally bringing the good news to a distant land, pray for them. It’s the family with the magnetic picture or prayer card on your refrigerator. As those missionaries get older, they need more prayer because some of their supporters have fallen off in support or they just forget to pray.

Then take the time to write a note to that family. It doesn’t have to be long but just let them know you are praying for them. I guarantee you it will make their day! Then do what you actually told them you would do.
