“Now then, my sons, listen to me; blessed are those who keep my ways.
Listen to my instruction and be wise; do not ignore it. Proverbs 8:32-33
As the writer finishes this section, he encourages his readers to take hold of wisdom and keep it close. It’s the theme he’s written about for eight chapters and it doesn’t seem to be slowing. Again, we might be tempted to pass over these portions only because they are repetitive and contain very little “meat.” Actually, because it is repetitive we should have a clear “takeaway” from this and other passages like it.
Get wisdom. To use the colloquialism, we need to “beg, borrow, or steal” to get it.
Wisdom is just that important.
