Blessings crown the head of the righteous, but violence overwhelms the mouth of the wicked. Proverbs 10:6
When I first became a Christian, a man asked me, “are you blessed?” Because I was new to the faith and didn’t understand his “God-talk”, I really didn’t know how to answer him. Then he asked me a couple more questions: did you wake this morning? Are you alive today? After I answered yes to both questions, he said without hesitation, “then you’re blessed.”
Today would be a good day to “count your blessings, name them one by one.” Take out a sheet of paper and do just that. Blessings: children, health, food, housing, caring people. The list goes on.
