The wicked flee though no one pursues, but the righteous are as bold as a lion. Proverbs 28:1

I’m not sure the Western church appreciates the power of the principle behind this verse. As the 2 Timothy 1:7 states: “For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.”

For certain, Believers in persecuted nations such as North Korea, South Sudan, Afghanistan, and Iran live (and often die) by this verse. We can learn a lot from their courage and boldness. In fact, it might be a great idea to pray these two verses over our fellow persecuted Believers.

They desperately need our prayers.
