10 By the grace God has given me, I laid a foundation as a wise builder, and someone else is building on it. But each one should build with care. 1 Corinthians 3:10
Of course it goes without saying that we are all works in progress. Yes, God is still working on us, in us, and through us.
Think of the people in your past who have influenced you in your Christian life. The one thing that stands out to me is that people took time out of their schedules to talk to me, listen to me, pray with me, and just to be with me. We chatted over lunches and dinners about important things and about minutia, politics and singing. They were building into others’ lives, and most of them did it knowing that they might never see rewards for it in this life.
The Apostle Paul tells us to “build with care” because he knows our tendency to not build at all.
Who are you actively pouring your life into?
One response to “Build with Care”
good words for sure – good morning Dave – I try to remember these words with everyone I meet – we tend to discount those we think we will never see again – but when you plant a seed – sometimes you don’t get to watch it grow – but our chances to plant a seed can be so quick we may not even recognize it!
