I am overwhelmed with troubles and my life draws near to death. Psalm 88:3
When troubles come our way – and no one is exempt from them – they seem like huge, insurmountable burdens to us. Some have ongoing burdens they’ve been carrying for years. But at times we all get overwhelmed by these burdens. So, what to do?
Burden by burden, one by one, we cast them on Christ (1 Peter 5:7). The burdens we carry around are too much and we were never meant to bear them.
Toss them.
Hurl them.
Chuck them.
Lay them squarely at His feet and admit you can’t take them anymore.
By so doing, the problems won’t go away but the burdens you have carrying them around will. You will still have the problems to resolve, but the peace and satisfaction you get from unloading them will be worth it.
