10 to him who struck down the firstborn of Egypt
His love endures forever.
11 and brought Israel out from among them
His love endures forever.
12 with a mighty hand and outstretched arm;
His love endures forever.
13 to him who divided the Red Sea asunder
His love endures forever.
14 and brought Israel through the midst of it,
His love endures forever.
15 but swept Pharaoh and his army into the Red Sea;
His love endures forever.
16 to him who led his people through the wilderness;
His love endures forever. Psalm 136:10-16
If you’ve read more than a few of these devotionals, you’ll notice one theme that I go back to: that God is in control.
You see, as the world spins out of control with new technology, redefines morality, and caters to the perverted, it’s wonderful to know that there is one constant in the universe: God Himself.
Our emotions may change
Geopolitical leaders may change
Societies may devolve into immoral cesspools
Our circumstances will change overnight
But God remains the same.
When you rest your head at night; he’s there.
When you rise in the morning; he’s there.
When your so called friends have deserted you; he’s there.
When you have nowhere left to turn; he’s there.
As sure as the sun will rise tomorrow morning, you can count of God being there for you.
