15 “As I began to speak, the Holy Spirit came on them as he had come on us at the beginning. 16 Then I remembered what the Lord had said: ‘John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.’ 17 So if God gave them the same gift he gave us who believed in the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I to think that I could stand in God’s way?”

18 When they heard this, they had no further objections and praised God, saying, “So then, even to Gentiles God has granted repentance that leads to life.” Acts 11:15-18

Even as Peter was telling this story, the Holy Spirit was moving in the hearts of all those around. The transformation was like night and day, and it was as much of a miracle as the physical healing they were part of. Deep-seated prejudices are very difficult to overcome. In the course of a few minutes, the Holy Spirit moved, and they were changed.

Is there an area of your heart that needs to change but you are resisting the change? We have the same Holy Spirit in us as they had back then, and He wants to change our stubborn hearts just as much. Are we willing to change? There’s absolutely nothing preventing us from changing right this very minute.
