17 Then Ananias went to the house and entered it. Placing his hands on Saul, he said, “Brother Saul, the Lord—Jesus, who appeared to you on the road as you were coming here—has sent me so that you may see again and be filled with the Holy Spirit.” 18 Immediately, something like scales fell from Saul’s eyes, and he could see again. He got up and was baptized, 19 and after taking some food, he regained his strength. Acts 9:17-19
Ananias had a great deal of faith in meeting face to face with a murderer. He was also commanded to do so and rebuked when he questioned the command. Still, it took great courage to put feet to his faith.
Saul must have been baffled too at the sudden change of events. Who were these people showing him kindness and compassion? Why was he not rooting out the Christians and putting them in jail?
Join me in praising God for the variety of ways He changes lives. Sometimes He’s subtle, and other times it is blaring loud.
