Stop listening to instruction, my son, and you will stray from the words of knowledge. Proverbs 19:27

Many of us know people who have strayed from God. It all begins with this verse: neglecting regular Scripture reading. It’s not a conscious effort to stray. Perhaps it’s because of an unresolved conflict or a hurt that’s never quite healed. It may even be anger towards God. But it all started by not reading and not meditating on the truths of Scripture regularly. After days and weeks of neglect, the straying is already in motion.

At any point, though, God gives ample opportunity to return to Him.

In fact, the call goes out to those reading this: Return to Him if you have strayed.
