Righteousness guards the man of integrity, but wickedness overthrows the sinner. Proverbs 13:6

The contrasts of righteousness and wickedness are partially spelled out here. One will be a guard; and the other will toss you out the door and will be your ultimate downfall. There is something very satisfying about having and keeping integrity intact.

It’s almost like you have an invisible guard standing over you deflecting the accusations and mean-spirited comments that come your way. You don’t have to worry about covering up something you’ve said or done because you have nothing to hide. Your conscience is clean. Your integrity is still standing.
