Understanding is a fountain of life to those who have it, but folly brings punishment to fools. Proverbs 16:22

If you cry out to God for wisdom, you will receive it. But when you receive it, you may not know you have it until you need it. In other words, God’s not going to drop a hundred pounds of wisdom on your head and declare you wise. Instead, He will give you wisdom to make the right decisions.

But we must continually cry out for it.
