Days of the Idle and Disruptive

14 And we urge you, brothers and sisters, warn those who are idle and disruptive, 1 Thessalonians 5:14a

Paul was referring to those fellow Believers who were idle and disruptive. People, even well-meaning Christians have agendas. When they don’t get their way, they cause trouble. I’ve seen it plenty of times over the years. They’re content with tossing a spiritual bomb in the corner and walking away, not waiting for the fallout or after effects. In fact, we’ve all known those kinds of people. If we’re wise, we’ll avoid them. Sometimes, though, they are slick enough to get you into their world a bit and try to make you believe they’re the victim.

We’re dealing with such a scenario right now, which is why I can speak so vividly about it. Unfortunately, we didn’t avoid these people fast enough before they got us involved.

So, if you spot them, run run run. Pray that you can spot them early so you can do as Paul did and warn them. If not, run.
