Do not love sleep or you will grow poor; stay awake and you will have food to spare. Proverbs 20:13
Looking for work when you’re unemployed can be very difficult. Looking for more leads when you’re just starting out in business can be equally wearying because there’s just a lot of discouragement.
It’s easy, therefore, to just want to give up and “throw in the towel.” But when there is food to put on the table and a mortgage on the line, you know that coasting through the day isn’t going to work for you. You need to press on, to dig deeper into those internal resources, and knock on another door. Make another phone call. It’s all oging to work out.
Lord Jesus, I pray for the dozens raeding this who might not have work right now. You know how tough it is for them. You know the pain and rejection that they’ve felt daily. You know the looks they get when they tell people they don’t have work, or when they are in between jobs. Continue to give them opportunities to apply. Encourage them with your power. Sustain them through the difficult times. Reach down and smile upon them. In Jesus’ name.
