Draw Me

“No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws them, and I will raise them up at the last day. John 6:44

The Father draws sinners to Himself. It is nothing we do. We can’t coax, cajole, argue, or coerce people into the Kingdom. The Father draws the sinner to Jesus through the power of the Holy Spirit. It should take the burden from our shoulders of having to “win people over” to Christ.

Sure, God can – and does – use us. Remember, though, he also used a donkey for his purposes in Numbers 22.

When we pray for the souls of loved ones and friends, we need to ask God to draw that person until Himself because that’s what Jesus was saying in this verse. The ways and methods He draws people are as varied as the people praying it.
