5 The Lord is gracious and righteous; our God is full of compassion.
6 The Lord protects the unwary; when I was brought low, he saved me.
7 Return to your rest, my soul, for the Lord has been good to you. Psalm 116:5-7
When our physical bodies wear down, when our minds cannot crunch any more information, and when we are just “spent” emotionally, our souls need that rest that only God can provide.
In the quiet and stillness of our hearts, we cry out to him for healing and restoration. Perhaps it’s once a week. Perhaps it’s every day or even twice a day. Our souls need rest from the rigors of the world.
Do it early. Do it often.
