Early and Often

From heaven the Lord looks down
and sees all mankind;
from his dwelling place he watches
all who live on earth—
he who forms the hearts of all,
who considers everything they do. Psalm 33:13-15

What does God see when He “looks down” from Heaven? Does He see obstinate, disobedient children (not at all unlike the Children of Israel), or does He see compliant, ready-to-please children?

Does He see a church looking forward to His return or one that is caught up in its own little world?

It’s very easy to get side-tracked and uncaring about the things that matter. It’s also easy to have great intentions but never following through. And it’s quite normal to forget about the return of Jesus Christ in all his glory when you’re up to your neck in bills, responsibilities, and activities.

One of the beautiful things about the Lord our God is that He is patient. Whenever we’re ready, we can come to Him. He will fill us with the strength, wisdom, and knowledge we need each day. The Holy Spirit will remind us of the importance of the Second Coming, and the life we will be living after the here-and-now.

This is merely a reminder to come to Him early and often. He waits for us.
