15 But you, Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness. Psalm 86:15
If you’ve ever met someone who has an “even keel” you know they can tolerate a lot. But even they have breaking points.
The Bible tells us that God is “slow to anger.” Believe it. While we think God doesn’t see what happens in the world – especially since we see many politicians and criminals get “off the hook” for technicalities – we shouldn’t be fooled by his seemingly slow response. In other words, we shouldn’t jump to any conclusions about how God dispenses judgment. When the time is right, their actions will be judged, and that judgment will be swift.
Fortunately, we’re able to trust that God will make perfect judgments about people and events that are outside of our control.
