Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. John 1:3
We don’t often think of Jesus as the Creator; instead, we think God the Father created all things. This verse aligns with Colossians 1:15-17: “He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by Him and for Him. He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.”
He created all things physical and spiritual, temporary and permanent. Everything.
Every molecule, every atom. Every galaxy light years away. Everything.
Every cloud; every rain drop. Every speck of dust; every wind that blows. Everything.
Every person, every animal. Everything.
Nothing escapes His sight; nothing is out of His control.
It certainly gives new meaning to the children’s song: He’s got the whole world in His hands.
What a comfort and relief to know that WE don’t have to carry the burdens of the world on our shoulders. It’s already taken care of.
